Beautiful, wild and mysterious, Svaneti is an ancient land locked in the Caucasus, so remote that it was never tamed by any ruler. Uniquely picturesque villages and snow-covered, 4000m-plus peaks rising above flower-strewn alpine meadows provide a superb backdrop to the many walking trails. Svaneti’s emblem is the koshki(defensive stone tower), designed to house villagers at times of invasion and local strife (until recently Svaneti was renowned for its murderous blood feuds). Around 175 koshkebi, most originally built between the 9th and 13th centuries, survive here today.

Located at 1,700 m in the Borjomi region of Georgia, Bakuriani is nestled in the shadows of the breathtaking Caucasus Mountains, only a three-hour drive from Tbilisi. Home to dozens of alpine slopes and cross-country trails, it offers some of the most spectacular skiing and snowboarding in Europe. Originally developed as an Olympic training facility, unsurprisingly, Bakuriani is Georgia’s most popular winter sports and recreation destination. Bakuriani has several trails to ski for beginners and professionals. Length of the trails varies from 25m to few kilometers.

Tskaltubo is a balneological resort which is located in Imereti. It is famous for radon-carbonate mineral springs. The mineral water has a lot of advantages, it cures diseases associated with heart and blood vessels, skin, peripheral nervous system, extremities, endocrine system, and also there can be treated cerebral palsy, rheumatism and poliomyelitis. In Tskaltubo you will meet the karstic caves that treat bronchial asthma, neurosis and stenocardia. Furthermore, there are many historical buildings:  

Borjomi is a balneological resort in Samtskhe-Javakheti. It is famous for its mineral water Borjomi. Nowadays it is exported to 40 countries. The mineral water is consumed when there is a problem of digestive diseases, respiratory organs, nervous system, and metabolism. Borjomi is also brilliant for cleansing the organism and strengthening the immune system. There are more than 200 historical monuments in Borjomi gorge: monasteries, fortresses, churches. 

Shovi is a balneological resort which is located in Oni Municipality. The medicinal factor is mountain climate and carbonic acid hydro carbonate sodium-calcium mineral sources. Gastrointestinal, respiratory diseases, as well as problems with digestion and the nervous system, are treated here.

Akhtala - Mud Treatment Resort in Gurjaani, Georgia. 100 km from Tbilisi, 412 meters above sea level. Weather in temperate continental: summer hot, winter warm, average annual precipitation 700 mm. Pseudovulcan mud of the resort's healing factor used for baths, applications, and tampons. There is a sanatorium for adults and children, a polyclinic, a mud bath in Akhtala. Indications: Chronic diseases of the movement organs, peripheral nervous system and gynecological diseases. Season from May 01 to November 1.

Gudauri is a mountain resort in Georgia located on a south-facing plateau of the Greater Caucasus Mountain Range, 120 km (75 mi) or about 2 hours drive from its capital, Tbilisi, making it convenient for short, weekend ski trips from December through April. 6 ski pistes with total length of 52 kilometers provide perfect skiing conditions for tourists. Slopes here are divided according to the following levels of difficulty - beginners, intermediate, advanced, expert. Gudauri is famous for its off-piste opportunities down the unspoiled virgin slopes. The deep powdery snow, lack of stones, and minimal risk of avalanches made Gudauri kind of Mecca of freeriding. The resort is also surrounded by large areas with off-piste slopes for these types of riding, as the backcountry and heli-ski.
